History
Bismuth vanadate yellow came into artists' paint in the later 20th century as a bright, opaque yellow without cadmium.
In mixes
A bright, clean, fairly opaque lemon. A common cadmium-free alternative, though usually weaker than cadmium.
Drying speed is typical for linseed oil; tubes ground in safflower or poppy oil, or with driers added, will differ. These are general notes on the pigment, not on any one brand.
