About PR149
History
Perylene pigments entered use in the mid-20th century, mostly in industry, and later in artists' paint.
In mixes
A deep, transparent, slightly warm red, strong and lightfast.
Drying speed is typical for linseed oil; tubes ground in safflower or poppy oil, or with driers added, will differ. These are general notes on the pigment, not on any one brand.
